Wokha, January 8 (MExN): 73rd edition of Chukitong Range Sports Association (CRSA) culminated on 8th January 8 at Chukitong Public Ground with R Mhathung Ngullie, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland.
Speaking on the closing ceremony, Ngullie express joy for displaying professional sportsmanship where no casualty and no confrontation throughout the game and witness a good sports by the people, which he told the folks of Chukitong range people to continue building strong relationship through sports and look forward to bring out many sports young talents to represent in district state and national level from the range. He instilled the young talents to focus and follow their professions and avoid use of intoxicant substance that kills their dreams and even bring disunity to the society.
L Zachamo Ovung, former Chairman CRSA delivered the welcome note. Short speech was delivered by Zumchio Kikon, CRSA chairman and Ezanimo Kikon, Chairman CRPO.
The sports meet culminated with a mixture of traditional ingenious games; tug of war (man & women), catapult shooting and spear throw, stated a press release.
Eighteen football teams participated in the CRSA sports meet, where the final match was played between XI Club Vs Mungya Village ‘B’.
The six times champion’s XI brothers retained victory by two goals lead making the seven times champion, recorded in the history of CRSA sports meet.
