KOHIMA, APRIL 21 (MExN): The much awaited Church Colony League under the initiative of Youth Ministry of Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima kick started its 5th season at Thizama Ground on April 20.
In the first match of the day, Go-Live FC defeated Chronicles scoring 3 goals to nil.
The second match witnessed a keenly contested match between Allegiance FC and Elohem FC.
The match ended in a draw with both the teams taking away one point each.
Church Colony League (CCL) is an annual event where all the colonies are divided into six teams which will go on for months.
CCL was started with the main objective to take Church to the playfield and to reach out to people.
The league is played under the supervision of the Kohima District Football Referees’ Association.
