DIMAPUR, APRIL 13 (MExN): The ‘not less than 10 members’ Reconciliation Committee pictured to be formed by the Naga Hoho is to include prominent Naga leaders- be it from the Church or the political bandwagon. Informing of this, Naga Hoho Information and Publicity Secretary P Chuba Ozukum said the Naga Hoho is yet to sit down on the issue.
Acting President of the Hoho, Keviletuo Angami had earlier said the committee would be instituted after taking into consideration the views of federating tribes.
General Secretary of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council, Reverend Zhapu Terhüja, when contacted, said the Church would have to discuss the matter if it is approached. “We shall have to see,” he said. Recounting that clergymen had earlier worked with the Naga Hoho on the very issue, Terhüja said the involvement of churches towards the reconciliation process had been turned down earlier.
