Chümoukedima, March 8 (MExN): ICAR-CIFT installed CIFT Hybrid Solar Dryer at Bade village, Chümoukedima. The hybrid dryer facility has been installed at the premises of Bharathimana Fishermen Development Cooperative Ltd (Bharathimanaco) for the benefit of the fish farmers.
Fish processing unit items worth Rs 5.4 lakh were also provided to the members of the society. The hybrid dryer worth Rs 2 lakh has been fabricated, transported and installed by CIFT at Bharathimanaco under the NEH Scheme of ICAR-CIFT, Cochin.
Dr Imti Sunep, DFO, Dimapur, inaugurated the facility in presence of Dr Ramanando Khundrakpam, Founder & Chairman of Bharathimanaco (Manipur & Nagaland). Dr V Geethalakshmi, Principal Scientist, Dr Sajeev MV, Principal Scientist, Dr PK Vinci, Senior Scientist, Dr Sarika K, Scientist, ICAR-CIFT attended the function and provided the user-guidelines and operating procedures for the farmers.
Asim Kumar Borah, Senior Executive, NFDB NERC also graced the function.
