Medziphema, June 2 (MExN): Online training on ‘Post Harvest Management and Value Addition of Important Horticultural Crops’ was conducted by the Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), DAC & FW, Ministry of Agriculture, GOI, Medziphema.
A press release received here stated that the training was conducted on May 22 and 29 through Google Meet App. The objective of the training programme was to impart technology on processing of seasonal and local fruits which are readily available and which can be processed at home during lockdown period to avoid spoilage and loss. Detail information regarding the training was sent to the contacts available in the institute’s database and the number of participants invited per training was 20.
A total of 28 participants joined the online training. Dr NK Patle, Dy Commissioner DAC & Director i/c also interacted with the participants and encouraged them to be practical in every venture.
