A circular road constructed by Thepfiisasie Kehie Kikramia (Peer Group) was inaugurated at Mezoma village by Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development & Horticulture, Nagaland on April 26.
This circular road registered important passage as it will link Khonoma-Peducha road.
Addressing the gathering, Kruse lauded Thepfiisasie Kehie Kikramia for undertaken the much needed project like a circular road and hoped that they will continue to render yeoman service to the community. She also thanked the support of the landowners, through which, such project has been accomplished.
Highlighting some major developmental activities under 8th Western Angami Assembly Constituency which she represents, Kruse said that PMGSY Road Khonoma to Peducha connecting majority of the Western Angami villages have started, including the road from Dzüdza to Khonoma.

International standard Indoor Stadium at Sechü Zubza has been completed and will be inaugurated soon. Two Women Hostel will start soon at Sechü Zubza, she said adding that Primary Health Centre Sechü Zubza has been upgraded to Community Health Centre recently.
Stating that Western Angami region still need more development in many areas, the minister said “Let us work together so as to bring about development and progress into our region.”
Maintaining that Khonoma is a hotspot for tourist, she said “Let us promote the whole Western Angami villages as tourist destination.”
Talking on the prospect of rural tourism, Kruse stressed on the need to showcase and preserve the rich culture and traditions including traditional houses as tourists normally visit rural areas to get glimpse of the lifestyle of the Nagas. She said that tourism industry play a vital role in boosting rural economy.
Rokokedo Kehie, President Mezo-Phetsumia Mechü Kehou and Thepfusasie Kehie also spoke on the occasion. The programme was chaired by Neisiesa Chiisi while vote of thanks was proposed by Zhasau Sirie. Earlier, the Minister unveiled the monolith which was led by Kevingukho Sirie and prayer by Rev Visakuolie Chüsi.
Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO) President Kepelhoutuo Chüsi, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Deputy Chairman Khrielievi Chiisi and several other dignitaries also present on the occasion.
