Zunheboto, October 26 (DIPR): Department of Taxes on October 23 held an interaction with business stakeholders under Zunheboto district, and discussed issues relating to Goods and Services Tax.
Inspector, Myingthungbemo Patton during the interaction asked the stakeholders to file their GST return for the month of July, August and September to avoid future penalties for late filling. Encouraging the Goods and Service providers especially located in Pughoboto, Satakha, Atoizu and other sub-divisions where communication has been less, the department asked them to come forward for any necessary queries and assistance.
Myingthungbemo Patton also said any artificial stock arising out of GST implementation that affects the customers or the common people had to be equally shared by the Goods and Services Providers, and therefore urged all the stakeholders to have sense of responsibility for smooth implementation of GST. GST is here to stay, and every citizen should take personal effort in knowing about the operations of GST taxation system he said, admitting that there are certain technical complexities in GST operation.
