MON MExN: Through a press release issued by the Tobu Village Council, it was stated that some citizens of Tobu village are fleeing from the village. The reason behind the villagers leaving the village was not disclosed in the statement. The village council warned that anyone fleeing the village will not be named as citizens of Tobu and that their identity will be wiped away from the Village Council Board. The release also stated that there were no original or temporary citizens residing in Tobu, while stating that every villager has equal rights. The council also requested the villagers to abide by the authority for the good cause of the Konyak community.
It further mentioned that the land of Tobu collectively belongs to the Konyaks and not to the Changs, and that no trace is found on the history of Changs in Tobu. The statement was jointly undersigned by the Chairman, N. Leangen Konyak, Secretaery and P. Neamneai Konyak, Tobu Village Council and the Tobu VDB Secretary, C. Nangba
