Clarification on state subsidy on rooftop solar installation

DIMAPUR, APRIL 15 (MExN): The Department of Power has issued a clarification regarding the state subsidy for rooftop solar installations under the Nagaland Solar Mission, implemented in convergence with the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG: MBY). In a statement, the Chief Engineer (D&R) addressed an error in the subsidy figures reported in The Morung Express on April 14. As per the clarification, the state subsidy for 1 kW rooftop solar (RTS) capacity is Rs 20,000, for 2 kW it is Rs 40,000, and for 3 kW it is Rs 50,000. When combined with the central government subsidy under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, the total subsidies amount to Rs 53,000 for 1 kW (Rs 33,000 central + Rs 20,000 state), Rs 1,06,000 for 2 kW (Rs 66,000 central + Rs 40,000 state), and Rs 1,35,800 for 3 kW (Rs 85,800 central + Rs 50,000 state).
