Our Correspondent Kohima | November 12 Boys FC, Adroit Boyz and Head Hunter today registered wins in their respective matches on the third day of the ongoing 22nd Classic Cup 2016 here at the Kohima Local Ground. In the first match of the day, Boys FC downed Rising Star Meriema in the sudden death through tie-breaker. The teams were locked in 1-1 draw during the stipulated 60 minutes play. Rising Star Meriema took an early lead in the 12nd minute through Kevingulie. Boys FC however refused to seat back as Khriengulie equalized in the 29th minute. With today’s win, Boys FC will now take on Elite FC on November 17. In the second match, Adroit Boyz Sechii Zubza beat Ziekezou SC 2-0. The goals for Adroit Boyz came through Keneinguzo and Bebem in the 11th and 36th minute respectively. Playing the last match of the day, Head Hunter overwhelmed Radiant FC 12-0. T. Khampei Konyak netted a record seven goals for Headhunter, becoming the second hat trick scorer of the tournament and also the leading goal scorer so far. His goals came in the 9th, 11th, 22nd, 31st, 39th, 44th and 50th minute. Haotinmang and Chingkhumlung also contributed two goals each in the 16th and 21st and 37th and 48th minutes respectively. Kevi added another goal for the team in the 49th minute. Head Hunter will next play with Adroit Boyz Sechii Zubza on November 17.
