Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): The Clean Dimapur Initiative is organizing a Penalty Shoot-Out Tournament to raise funds for their second drive of cleaning Dimapur Town on May 20 at the State Stadium. The prize money for the winning team has been fixed at Rs.30,000 with the best keeper getting a prize of Rs. 2000. In this regard, the Clean Dimapur Initiative has invited all Dimapurians to come and be a part of the tournament. A voluntary initiative, the Clean Dimapur Initiative is an outcome of the Facebook Page "Naga Discussion Forum" where a few concerned denizens of Dimapur expressed sadness at the lack of cleanliness. Realizing that people need to take matters into their own hands, a few like-minded people gathered on WhatsApp – a mobile messaging platform – and undertook a cleanliness drive in the main town. For the first drive, empty ghee tins were collected, painted and placed in the main town. Unfortunately it disappeared after a few days. The Clean Dimapur Initiative is however undeterred and aims to fix durable dustbins to iron poles in the second drive.
