Kohima, June 19 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio has expressed grief over the demise of distinguished medical doctor Dr N Moa, describing him as a compassionate physician whose life was marked by service, humility and faith. In a condolence message issued on June 19, Rio said he was "deeply saddened" to learn of Dr Moa's passing and recalled his lifelong dedication to healing and serving people without prejudice.
The Chief Minister also shared his family's personal connection with the late doctor, stating that Dr Moa had been his late father's personal physician and a close friend of the family. "He was well known to me and was my late father's personal doctor and a good friend. The bond that our family shared with him and the care and kindness shown to my father will always be remembered," Rio said.
Remembering Dr. Moa as a man of deep faith, the Chief Minister said he was "full of compassion, selflessness and humility" and had lived "a life of purpose and service."
Rio said Dr. Moa had touched the lives of many people and that his absence would be deeply felt by all who knew him.
He further stated that, with Dr Moa's passing, "the Ao community in particular and the Nagas in general have lost a father figure," while urging people to give thanks to God for his life and legacy of "kindness, wisdom and healing."
Extending condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of his family, Rio prayed that God grant them strength and solace during their loss.
