CM, State govt congratulates Rev Dr Wati Aier

Dimapur, March 13 (MExN): The Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio has on behalf of the State government and the people of Nagaland and also on his own behalf conveyed heartiest congratulations to Rev Dr Wati Aier on being selected for the prestigious 2011 Baptist World Alliance (BWA) Denton and Janice Lotz Human Rights Award.
Rio in a congratulatory message addressed to Rev Dr Wati Aier stated that this award was for his special works and contributions in helping to mediate the signing of the Covenant of Reconciliation by the three nationalist groups in Nagaland in September 2010.
“Your selfless sacrifice and contributions to the cause of peace in Nagaland is being recognized and appreciated by one and all in Nagaland and even abroad by world level organizations”, stated Rio. The CM also stated that through this award, Rev Dr Wati Aier has helped in taking the Naga political cause to the international stage.
“This will form an important chapter in the history of the Naga political struggle”, stated Rio. The CM also stated that he had “great expectation and hope that Rev Dr Wati Aier’s “noble mission will bear fruits in the not too distant future”. “I wish you God’s guidance and wisdom in all your endeavor”, stated Rio.
