CM to visit Molungyimsen today

Dimapur, March 17 (DIPR): Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio will visit Molungyimsen village on March 18, 2011. The 135 years old village under Mokokchung district, where the first Christian Missionary to the Naga Hills, Dr E.W. Clark laid firm foundation in this village not only to carry on missionary works in the Naga Hills but to rewrite the history of the Nagas is fast emerging as one of the attractive tourist spots in the state particularly to Christians. More than hundred years passed by, the oldest litchi tree, planted by Dr Clark still stand in the village as a testimony to his missionary works.
Neiphiu Rio will inaugurate Dr. Clark Light Tower and the Pilgrim road at Molungyimsen village and will address a public meeting. Rev. Dr. L Anjo Keikung will also deliver speech on the role of Dr. Clark in the history of the Nagas on the occasion.
