KOHIMA, MAY 16 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has written a letter to BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and BJP President Rajnath Singh congratulating them on the “landslide victory” of BJP and its allies in the Lok Sabha elections. Rio, writing on his own behalf and on behalf of the North East Regional Political Front - of which he is the convener, pledged his support for a stable new government at the centre.
In his letter to Singh, Rio wrote, “This is the most emphatic endorsement by the people of India,” and added, “It is also a clear indication of the faith they reposed in your leadership and the capability of your Prime Ministerial candidate, Shri Narendra Modi to lead the nation.”
In his letter to Modi, Rio expressed confidence and wrote, “Under your dynamic leadership, the destiny of the country, especially the backward regions, will definitely change for the better.”
“I am confident that under your able and dynamic leadership, this massive electoral mandate, combined with the resurgent energy of the people, will be fully utilized to take the country on the path of inclusive growth, progress and property," Rio wrote.
