CMA seeks swift justice in alleged sexual assault of minor in Dimapur

Dimapur, June 5 (MExN): The Chakhesang Mothers' Association (CMA) has strongly condemned the alleged sexual and physical assault of a 14-year-old minor girl in Dimapur and demanded swift action against those responsible.

In a statement, the association described the reported incident as a grave violation of human dignity and expressed concern over what it termed prolonged abuse of the minor.

The CMA urged the authorities to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the case and ensure that all those found responsible are brought to justice without delay.

The organisation also called for appropriate legal action under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), in accordance with the findings of the investigation.

Expressing solidarity with the victim and her family, the association said it stands with them during the difficult period and hoped that justice would be delivered through due legal process.
