
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 4 (MExN): ‘Chief Minister’s Corpus Fund is the best perception in government documentation till date. Today something is happening in the ground of reality. And therefore people should know and understand the concept of Government’, M P Rajya Sabha, T R Zeliang stated passing across his message. Speaking as the Chief Guest in extension of ‘Year of Farmers’ programme, where Power Tillers to 19 beneficiaries under CMCF was distributed for Peren District at SDO’s (Stores) Office, Khermahal, Dimapur today.
“State government has serious concern for the farmers. Already 76 Power Tillers and 26 Tractors have been distributed and another 88 Power Tillers and 26 Tractors will be distributed in the future”, the MP said in his speech. He added that “Hi-tech machinery is very much applicable in our State and our people need to develop Work Culture to achieve the target.”
OSD, Planning and Coordinator Kevileno in the welcome address said that Peren has been picked up of all other District for this programme, realizing the fact that Jaluki Valley of Peren District is the ‘Rice Bowl’ of Nagaland. She said that Government has visions that Peren can supply enough rice for the whole State and therefore, it is now for the beneficiaries to prove themselves.
Speaking on behalf of the 19 beneficiaries, Adam Pamie sincerely apologized to the government, SBI and concerned department for all the events and issues which have taken place earlier in connection of the same programme while Commissioner and Secretary to the Chief Minister Viketol Sakhire reminded the beneficiaries of the aim and objectives of the CMCF, to make contribution to the service of economy development. Taking the examples of non-local business men in Nagaland, he called upon the beneficiaries to be focused and avoid being double minded when it comes to profession, big or small.
Director of Agriculture, Dr. Supong Keitzar delivered the vote of thanks. The Chief Guest later made the presentation of citation and distribution of Power Tillers. The programme was chaired by Commissioner and Secretary Agriculture N.N Zhasa.
