CMHS Wokha celebrates parents’ day cum induction of new proprietor

Wokha, October 28 (MExN): Christian Model High School (CMHS), Wokha celebrated parents’ day cum induction of new proprietor on October 28.  

A press note stated that the chief guest, Solanthung Humtsoe, Retd DIS in his speech advised the teachers, and the parents to understand their role in shaping up the young ones. To the students, he advised them to work hard so as to be responsible citizens for future.  

On behalf of the parents, Steve Odyuo encouraged the schools to help the children identify their talents and callings rather than just focusing only on making them an engineer, doctor, etc.. He also emphasised on healthy environment for which he offered to help and cooperate in any way possible, he being an environmentalist.  

Thungbemo Murry, the proprietor and his wife Serena Murry highlighted the plans and programmes to be followed in the coming years in terms of infrastructure and human development, academic and administrative amendments in making the school the best not only in Wokha district but even the whole region.  

The children presented beautiful action songs, while the senior students presented a cultural songs and dances showcasing their talents. The programme started with a prayer by Mhonlumi Murry followed by welcome speech by the Head Master after which the introduction and induction of new proprietor was conducted by Nchumbemo Mozhui, chairman, CMHS board of Directors.
