The College of Arts & Technology (CAT), Nerhe-Phezha, kick started its annual sports meet 2022 in the college campus on September 29.
This sports meet is part of the ongoing 1st Pridora Fest 2022 of the CAT, which will conclude on September 30.
Colonel Rohit Jakhar, Commandant, 45 Assam Rifles, Chieswema graced the opening ceremony of the sports meet under the theme “Greater Together” as the special guest.
In his speech, Jakhar exhorted the students that knowledge is important but knowledge without character is meaningless.
It is through sports where one can shape & bring out the best character, he said.
He encouraged the students to play in the spirit of true sportsmanship.
The 45 Assam Rifles also gave sports kit and equipments to the college.
The programme was compered by Santsuthung Humtsoe, Asst. Professor while welcome address was delivered by Dr Chingpai Lily, Principal, CAT. Special song was presented by guest artist Neilakuonuo Metha.
