‘Colour coded’ passes for Tuensang citizens

Tuensang, May 3 (MExN): The Tuensang Deputy Commissioner today notified citizens that the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions are still in force and all provisions restricting movement of people in public places will continue to be enforced until further orders. The notice came after there were reports of unrestrained movement of public in large numbers following certain relations being made by the Government of India. In this regard, the DC informed that a ‘colour coding’ system for outing passes has been introduced to regulate movement of public in the town area. This will enable the public to move out for procurement of essential commodities only on certain days of the week.

The DC informed that the outing passes will be issued to every Ward President who will in turn issue them to the public on need basis. Any person caught/seen moving around town without valid pass will be penalized as per provisions of the law, he added. Further, all shops  have been warned against entertaining customers without valid/matching colour coded passes on the particular day of the week, failing which necessary action will be initiated against the shop.
