DIMAPUR, APRIL 28 (MExN): The 4th Combined Youth Fellowship was held at Nepali Baptist Church (NBC), Kuda Village, on April 27 bringing together youth members from five Gorkha/Nepali Baptist churches in Dimapur: NBC Walford, Dimapur Town Nepali Baptist Church (DTNBC) Duncan, Gorkha Baptist Church (GBC) Viola, and GBC Thahekhu.
Held under the theme “A Youth After God’s Own Heart” (Psalm 119:9–16), the fellowship focused on encouraging spiritual growth, unity, and faith-based engagement among youth. The event was marked by vibrant praise and worship led by GBC Thahekhu, setting a tone of reverence and joy.
Lily Pariyar of NBC Walford opened the program with an invocation prayer, followed by a welcome address by Nito Sundas, Youth Pastor of NBC Kuda. The session was chaired by Rakesh Rajen of NBC Walford.
The main message was delivered by Kamal Sharma, Youth Pastor of DTNBC Duncan, who spoke passionately on the event theme, urging the youth to cultivate a heart aligned with God’s will. His message, grounded in biblical truths, resonated deeply with attendees and inspired a renewed commitment to faith.
Special praise performances by DTNBC Duncan and NBC Walford, a choral reading by NBC Kuda, and a drama presentation by GBC Viola (CYE) added creative depth to the program. Scripture reading in both Nepali and English was done by Arti Mech (GBC Thahekhu) and Tipong (NBC Kuda), emphasizing the enduring relevance of God’s word.
Organizers shared that the objective of the combined fellowship was to foster friendship, unity, and relational growth among the five Gorkha/Nepali Baptist churches. The event left participants spiritually enriched and strengthened in their shared faith journey.
