Commerce colleges in Nagaland converge for COMMVANZA 2019

The Department of Commerce, Unity College organized the annual State level inter-collegiate commerce festival, COMMVANZA 2019 on February 23 under the theme ‘Transcending beyond Excellence.’


A press release informed that the Festival is organized annually with an objective to present a platform for the commerce colleges in general, and commerce students in particular, to showcase their knowledge, talents and skills while inculcating true competitive spirit among the students. The events of the Festival were- The Entrepreneur, Ad-Vid, Quiz O Mania, Group Discussion, Turncoat and Lip-Sync Battle.


Prof. AK Mishra, HoD, Commerce Department, Nagaland University (NU), graced the festival as the special invitee. The Judges for the events were: Dr. Ratan Kaurinta, Assistant Professor, NU; Bendangchila Longkumer, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering and IT, NU; and Temsusenla Kichu, Entrepreneur, Fusion Store, Dimapur.


Baptist College, Mount Mary College, Tetso College, Public College of Commerce, St. Joseph University, ICFAI University, Patkai Christian College, SD Jain Girls College and Unity College were the participating colleges.


The winners for the events were: The Entrepreneur- Tetso College, Quiz O Mania - Unity College, Turncoat- Unity College, Group Discussion- Tetso College, Ad-Vid- Mount Mary College and Lip-Sync Battle- Mount Mary College. The overall winner and Runner-up were Unity College andTetso College respectively.


The festival was sponsored by Titan Eye Plus, and the trophies by Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Assam. The co-sponsors were Falguni Enterprise Dimapur, Labo Marbles, NK Roofing and Nagaland Today.
