Guwahati, April 25 (MExN): The Third Sub-Committee of the Committee of Parliament on Official Language conducted an inspection of 28 Government Offices, Banks, Undertakings situated in and around Guwahati regarding implementation of Official Language from April 21 to 23 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati.
The inspection programme was coordinated by Punjab National Bank, Zonal Office, Guwahati. On Aril 23, the committee inspected Punjab National Bank, Zonal Office Guwahati regarding implementation of Official Language and appreciated the various efforts and innovations made for implementation of official language in Punjab National Bank, Guwahati Zone and the entire Bank.
During the inspection, the Committee awarded “Excellent” rating to Punjab National Bank, Zonal Office Guwahati for implementation of Official Language.
Others present were Abhijit Phukan, Adviser, Department of Financial Services and Dharambir, Deputy Director (Official Language) from Ministry of Finance; Head Office of Punjab National Bank, participation was taken by Rakesh Grover, Chief General Manager and Manisha Sharma, Assistant General Manager (Official Language), Ashish Sharma, Chief Manager (Official Language); and from Zonal Office Guwahati Vinay Kumar, Zonal Head and Anil Kumar Bhagat, Senior Manager (Official Language).
