Kohima, October 7 (MExN): Ex-minister and former President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) and sitting Congress MLA, K V Pusa urged Naga organisations to support the ongoing Naga talks and peace process.

Speaking during the general meeting of Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO) at Jakhama yesterday Pusa said for early settlement of the long drawn Naga political problem all should support the ongoing peace talks and peace process between the Centre and different Naga groups. “All must support those who are working for the final settlement of Naga political problem” he said.

He insisted that Naga organisations and organisations from Southern Angami area should support the talks which could bring a permanent peace in the state so that people can take part in the developmental activities to usher in progressive Naga society.
The veteran Congress legislator said peace was the long desire of Naga people but it has eluded them due to long pending Naga political problem. But he said solution could come only when people are united and support the talks vis-a-vis peace process.
Pusa also urged people to remain united and maintain communal harmony so that society could progress in all aspects. He said a society could progress only if there is unity in the society.

He also urged younger generation to respect the elders so also elders should think for the welfare of younger generation in order to build a harmonious society.  The daylong meeting was attended by representatives from SAPO and organisations like women, students, youth, GBs boundary protection committee and sport organisations.  The meeting also deliberated on vexed boundary dispute between Southern Angami and Mao.
