
AIZAWL, April 3 (NNN): The main opposition party in Mizoram, Mizo National Front (MNF) has attacked the Lal Thanhawla-led Congress government in Mizoram saying that the government had to be blamed for delaying in payment of the salaries of many government employees since November last year.
This was disclosed by the MNF MLAs Dr. R. Lalthangliana and C.Ramhluna while addressing the media in Aizawl on Friday. The party had reviewed the recently concluded Budget Session of Mizoram legislative assembly. They also said, the increase of Mizoram Annual Plan for the year 2011-2012 is about 11.76 percent which is the lowest among the 8 states of the North East region.
On the other hand, chief minister of Mizoram, Lal Thanhawla, who also is the president of Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee said, the need of the hour is judicious utilization of the budget and not the percentage of increase.
Addressing the party workers in Congress Bhavan in Aizawl, the party Lal Thanhawla praised the role played by the members in the recently concluded session of the State legislative assembly. He also said, the opposition members had no allegations against the government in connection with corruptions.
