C-Edge College observes World Entrepreneurs’ Day 2020

Dimapur, August 21 (MExN): World Entrepreneurs’ Day 2020 was observed through virtual platform organised by Department of Management Studies, C-Edge College on August 21.

The College stated in a press note that the purpose of the World Entrepreneurs’ Day which is observed worldwide is to create awareness for entrepreneurship, innovation, empowerment and leadership throughout the world.

The event was based on the theme ‘connecting Naga entrepreneurs to inspire’ with the presence of three dynamic entrepreneurs from Nagaland namely Watila Longkumer - Founder of Naro-Ki, Pito Kiba – Owner of That Baker Kiba, Chef & Baker and Zaben Murry – Owner & Designer of Label Zaben Murry Designs.

In their stirring speeches, Watila shared that she didn’t start big, but it was an idea where she saw the gap of flower growers unable to sell their produce which she grabbed the opportunity to be the connecting link to the local market and also develop her business.

Zaben Murry also shared that one should not wait for opportunity but instead create one’s own opportunity.

Pito Kiba encouraged the students to work extremely hard, to keep goals for one self and also to fix targets every month and most importantly, to set aside time for one self once a while.

The speakers shared their challenges as well as perks of their entrepreneurial journey which made the students interested to ask many questions related to it.

The event concluded with an interactive session moderated by Wapanginla Ao, Head of Department, Management Studies.
