The clarification informed that leaders from CPO, CNTC, ENPOR, APO, Sumi Hoho, Lotha Hoh, ASTD and ZPO had met on April 30 on the issue “pertaining to the recognition of Schedule Tribe of Mao and Rongmei tribe in state of Nagaland.” It informed that after a lengthy deliberation on the issue, it was decided to convene another consultative meeting of all the tribal leaders of Nagaland on May 10 at Kohima. In this light, the clarification stated that it is “shocking” to see the Naga Hoho statement, “when concerned Nagas seriously viewed the impending repercussion for the Nagas.”  The clarification appealed to the leaders of the Naga Hoho “not to be alarmed, as the bonafide Nagas shall never indulge in anything which goes against the interest of the Nagas.” It further appealed for Naga leaders to come forward and work together for the best interest of the Nagas.
