Consultative workshop on cancer challenges on February 4 in Dimapur

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 2 (MExN): Can Youth, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, and supported by the India Cancer Foundation, will observe World Cancer Day-cum-Consultative Workshop on “Cancer Challenges and Way Forward” on February 4. The programme will be held at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur, from 9:30 am.

Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Health and Family Welfare, S. Taniu (NCS) will grace the programme as the special guest, while Dr. Keveduyi Theyo, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, will deliver the keynote address.

Ahimsa Zhimomi, cancer survivor and founder of Beyond Cancer, will share her testimony during the programme.

The workshop session will be facilitated by Dr. Imkongsanen, surgical oncologist, and Dr. Erikhe Doulo, radiation oncologist, both from District Hospital Dimapur.

The organisers have requested NGOs, civil societies and educational institutions to attend the programme and contribute their sustainable suggestions on the way forward in addressing cancer-related challenges.
