Contact tracing detects ‘massive number of COVID-19 cases’ in Kohima, says AKMWP

Kohima, July 31 (MExN): The Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat (AKMWP) today said that the first phase of total lockdown within Kohima municipality passed off peacefully with no untoward incidents reported from any of the wards in Kohima.

“The contact tracing have identified and detected massive number of COVID-19 cases in all localities of Kohima Municipality during the past 7 days,” it stated.

The AKMWP requested continued cooperation of the citizens and “shall continue to extend all possible help, whenever and wherever required.”

It stated that the success of the lockdown was due to the collective efforts of ward/colony panchayat leaders, youth organizations and volunteers and the support of the government.

AKMWP acknowledged the tireless and unceasing efforts of each and every office bearer, who had spare no efforts in ensuring that the 7 days total lockdown a success and serves its purpose.

The AKMWP extended special appreciation and gratitude to Kovi Meyase, administrator Kohima Municipal Council for his keen concern and understanding of issues affecting the citizens.

It also thanked the frontline warriors and all involved in contact tracing.
