•-We the “Nagaland Civil Secretariat Typist Employees” expressed our dismay over the concerned authorities with regard to service condition, who were serving for the past 10 to 20 years and serving continuously without any break of service.
Though we are appointed on contract basis and regular pay scale, Our extension of services was purely on the basis of passing speed test conducted by competent authorities in the year 1994 and 1996 and who had qualified this said test, our contract services were extended. Subsequently in the year 2001, the high power committee the Home department secretariat administration branch head constituted a selection committee to screen out all the casual/contract stenographers, L.D.As and Typist serving in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat. The selection committee had declared the results whereby 135 L.D.As, 53 stenographers and 110 Typists were selected but demoted from regular scale of pay to fixed pay along with L.D.As and Stenographers. Subsequently, all the similar situated fixed pay L.D.As and stenographers who had faced selection test in the year 2001 were regularized by vide No. SAB (A) 9/6/2007 dated 28-05-2008 and Typist were sidelined and deprived without any justification. Our representations were not attended date.
It is established principle that similarly situated person should be treated equally. That we are rendering our service to the department with sincerity and devotion since 10 to 20 years, we, therefore, it is our humble and sincere request to the esteemed authorities to consider the case of the afore mentioned Typists by applying same yardstick as that of said stenographer and L.D.As by initiating for regularization on regular pay scale.
