Cooperative societies encouraged to repay loans

Peren, August 8 (MExN): The Jalukie Branch of Nagaland State Cooperative Bank convened a meeting with ‘borrowing cooperative societies’ of Peren district on August 4 where officials of 26 ‘borrowing cooperative societies’ attended the meeting.  

The meeting was chaired by T. Luho, Sr. Manager of Jalukie Branch. Keynote address was delivered by D. Sale, General Manager (ID) of the bank. Zandi Domta, Board of Director of the Bank from Peren district exhorted the cooperative societies of the district on the importance and the need for the economic development of their societies through effective liaison with the bank and timely recovery of the loans so that the bank can recycle the loaning fund for proper utilization by all concern for development.  

Zase Vituo, Senior Inspector, Cooperation, Peren called upon the societies to repay the loans of Nagaland State Cooperative Bank in time as it is the only local bank owned by the State and caters for the development of the people of the state. He said that the Integrated Cooperative Development Project (ICDP) will be launched in the district shortly for the development of Cooperative Societies of the district. And the precondition for receiving any benefits from the ICDP is that, the Societies should have a clean account with NSCB and the State Government without any default.  

The Officials of the Societies in their speech undertakes to recover all outstanding loans of the bank in the name of their societies at the earliest.
