Pfutsero, July 19 (MExN): The Cosmos Women Livelihoods and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Pfutsero, held its ninth Annual General Meeting (AGM) and inaugurated its Federation Hut on July 18, with officials calling for stronger community service and institutional growth.
Project Director-cum-District Mission Manager, District Mission Management Unit (DMMU), Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), DRDA Phek, Zhoi Lohe attended the programme as the special guest.
Among those present were Block Development Officer-cum-Block Mission Manager of RD Block Pfutsero Vekhrolo Koza, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies Marlong Longkumer and Assistant District Programme Manager, NSRLM Phek, Zhalie Puro.
Addressing the gathering, Lohe urged the cooperative to uphold humility, place community welfare above individual interests and continue serving members with dedication.
Koza congratulated the federation for undertaking initiatives benefiting member households and its affiliated institutions, while Longkumer encouraged the society to function as a genuine cooperative and pursue convergence with other developmental activities for the benefit of the community.
Federation president Wepretso-ü Kupa thanked members and stakeholders for their support during the federation's formative years and appealed for continued cooperation with the newly elected office-bearers.
The meeting marked the cooperative's first AGM since its registration under the Nagaland Cooperative Societies Act, 2017.
The Federation Hut was inaugurated by Kukhrunielu Khamo, while the invocation was offered by Neilhou-ü Mekru.
The first session of the AGM, chaired by Vehutalu Ritse, featured activity reports for the 2025-26 financial year and action plans for 2026-27 from committees dealing with social action and mobilisation, finance and fund management, monitoring, procurement and purchase, asset verification, livelihoods and skills promotion, and the Community Managed Training Centre.
The second session included discussions and approval of the society's annual plans. The programme also featured a special song by Krowaü Mero.
Puhulu Rose, convenor of the Election Committee, announced the induction of the newly elected office-bearers, followed by a blessing by Pastor Wekulo K Mero.
