COVID-19: Nagaland records 5 new cases, 36 recoveries on Christmas Day

Nagaland reported 5 new COVID-19 cases on December 25 while there were 36 recoveries, according to an official update. 

The new cases include 3 in Kohima and 2 in Dimapur. 

In addition, there were 31 recoveries in Kohima, 3 in Dimapur and 2 in Peren.

“5+ve cases of #COVID-19 have been detected on 25/12/2020. Kohima- 3, Dimapur - 2. Also, 36 +ve patients have recovered. Kohima- 31,  Dimapur- 3, Peren- 2,” updated the Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom on Twitter.

With this, Nagaland COVID-19 status as of December 25 stood at: Total cases- 11895; Recoveries- 11413; and Active Cases- 274.

The State has also reported 67 deaths so far. However, 10 deaths are considered “Covid-19 positive but not due to Covid-19," according to an official update on December 24.
