Nagaland has registered 100 COVID-19 cases for the third consecutive day with the detection of 104 new infections on Sunday, taking the State’s total tally to 1935.

 “Tested 383 samples for COVID-19, out of which 104 cases came out positive,” Nagaland Health and Family welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom updated on Twitter Sunday evening.  

Out of the total fresh cases, 62 were reported from Dimapur, 18 from Zunheboto, 17 from Kohima, 5 from Wokha and 1 each in Mon and Phek, he said. 

“Contact tracing are fully activated,” the Minister added. 

Nagaland on August 1 reported its highest single-day spike of 138 COVID-19 cases. The second highest single-day record was registered on July 31 with 127 cases, taking the total new cases in the last three days to 368. 

A total of 586 new cases have been reported in the State during the past seven days starting July 27. (See graph)
