COVID-19 sample testing intensified Zunheboto

Zunheboto, August 11 (MExN): During the Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held at DC's conference hall on August 11, Dy CMO Zunheboto, Dr Akaho Sema gave a detailed report on the current COVID-19 situation at the district and informed that, the department has intensified sample testing by installing 35 testing facilities across the district. 

According to a DIPR report, the CMO informed that out of a total of 3,999 samples tested in the last 9 days, 57 samples were positive which numbered at 1.4% which is at a relatively safe zone. Dr Sema also said that the team aims to administer 1,000 samples for testing in the coming 20 days. The board members were also informed that, so far 42,855 doses of vaccination have been administered and the district also had a total of 13 villages which are totally vaccinated. He concluded by say that 15% of eligible citizens are yet to be vaccinated. 

The meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman DPDB, Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo also focused on the forthcoming 75th Independence Day celebration at the district and other sub-divisions, in which DC reiterated the work distributions, to be carried up by different departments.

The board also deliberated on other agenda including reconstitution of aspiration block.
