Kohima, Feb 6 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) has appealed to every group of Naga armies not to move to villages or public places with arms and uniforms.
“Public shall strongly against the factional fighting amongst our Naga brothers, “said CPO president Vedayi Nyekha in a re-declaration of the CPO resolution.
Referring to the ban on indiscriminate burning of jungle throughout the year in Phek district, the CPO has entrusted every village authority to take preventive measures and take necessary action against the culprit(s).
In case the concerned village authority fails to apprehend the culprit(s), the CPO shall fine the village as it was done to some village last year.
Referring to restriction of all forms of hunting from February to the last day of May every year in Chakhesang inhabited areas, the CPO said that the village authorities shall be held responsible for their jurisdiction in implementation of this resolution.
Import of cattle and pig from outside Phek district for consumption purpose have been prohibited. Every social welfare organization (including police) or group may implement the resolution against the culprits. For the consumption of Defence would be exempted.
