The Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) has asked the Nagaland State Chief Minister, TR Zeliang to address the matter on non posting of administrative officers in Phek district. In a representation, the CPO while appreciating the government for undertaking intensive revision of the electoral roll, however stated that the process is being greatly hampered due to absence of the administrative and related officers in the district. The dearth in officers include a Sub Divisional Officer Chizami; EACs at Khezhakeno, Razieba, Lephory and Phor; and Assistant Election Officer at Phek. “Public outcry is highly conducive for making a clean electoral roll and it is expected that the government provide due administrative directions including governance,” stated CPO President, Kekhwengulo Lea and General Secretary, Mutsivotyi Kotso in their representation addressed to the Chief Minister. Further, the CPO impressed upon the government to redress this matter without any further delay.
