Medziphema, July 11 (MExN): The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO), Medziphema Circle, has condemned the alleged sexual abuse of a minor at Medziphema Town Ward-9 on July 7, stating that the crime “violates every norm of civilised society.”
The CPO Medziphema Circle Media Cell in its press release identified the accused as a retired Army personnel and a native of Maova village.
The organisation has demanded a “prompt, impartial and thorough investigation” by law enforcement agencies, and urged authorities to ensure that the guilty is brought to book without delay. “Such a cruel and inhuman crime is a serious violation of the rights, dignity and innocence of a child and has no place in a civilized society,” it said.
The CPO Medziphema Circle also appealed to the district administration and police to provide the child with appropriate medical care, psychological support and protection throughout the legal process.
