CHÜMOUKEDIMA, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) held its executive meeting at CPO Hall, Chümoukedima on October 31, where a number of agendas was deliberated upon by the house, a press release issued by CPO joint secretary has informed.
In his presidential address, CPO president Zhato Kimho, on behalf of Chakhroma people, sincerely acknowledged Zhaleo Rio, Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs for carrying out arduous spot verification of every nook and cranny in Dimapur city with regard to drainage system, flood control, sewage management, etc.
"It is a first by an Advisor and his concern for the people is exemplary," stated Kimho, while adding that ongoing development works in the town are because of his concern as a people leader. He further informed that the Advisor had assured to expedite all other infra activities, constructions, etc.
Among other issues, the house unanimously resolved that CPO will commemorate its 150th anniversary in 2024 and for which, planning and finance committee members were nominated to chalk out further plan of action.
It may also be noted that CPO will host the Angami Sekrenyi 2024 under the aegis of APO next year at State Stadium, Dimapur. The house also appealed to village authorities that hunting of flora and fauna should be minimised or open season be shortened considerably which will be a boon in conservation.
