
Kohima, January 19 (MExN): In keeping with the theme of the Chakhesang tribe 75th anniversary celebration ‘Recognize, Celebrate and Inspire,’ the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) Resolution Committee in its meeting held on December 17, 2020 decided to recommend some resolutions.
The CPO President, Mikha Kenye and General Secretary, Veduvo Rhakho in a press release stated that it resolved to ‘Recognize, Celebrate and Inspire’ God's mercy and faithfulness to Chakhesang community; the contributions and sacrifices of our leaders, past and present, who have made the Chakhesang what it is today; the timeless principles of honesty and hard work that are there in our God given culture; the rich biodiversity and to give its concerted efforts to conserve it at all cost for the immeasurable benefits that will be “ours in return”; reaffirmed the original principles of NNC based on the Naga Plebiscite of 1951.
Further, it resolved that the CPO will take up with greater vigour the ongoing building projects at Phek and Dimapur and extend possible support to the building project at Kohima and see to it that the said projects are brought to completion within the span of 2021 and 2022 calendar years to mark the 75 years celebration and to help realize all the calculated benefits by the CPO in particular and the public in general.
The CPO press release stated that the resolutions were further deliberated in the executive council meeting on January 9 at Phek Town Hall and presented before the general body meeting of the CPO and the same have been approved on January 10 during the celebration of Chakhesang tribe 75th anniversary.
