Kohima, August 12 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) today stated that the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic is surging everyday with positive cases in the state and creating more panic in the mind of general public “in which extra care is required for intra-district travels by the public.”
However, contrary to this it is observed that some HoD/officers remain out of the station and come only to attend some urgent work left at their whims after staying for few days, CPO stated in a release received here.
It expects their presence to be felt with respect by discharging their duties with all sincerity instead of inviting public wrath at this crucial time, the release stated.
“The district Administration is expected to strictly enforce and implement as per the directive issued by Chief Secretary in order to avoid unwarranted situations in the future,” stated CPO president Mikha Kenye and publicity & information secretary Vipanyi Krome in a release.
While appreciating Thuvopisumi Village School Management Board for issuing show cause notice to the absentee teachers, CPO also appealed to all the VEC’s and SMB’s under its jurisdictions to take strict actions against the absentees.
Meantime, CPO expressed its gratefulness to all the frontline workers, the doctors and nurses “under whose care and love, two of our grandparent recovered by overcoming with infected Corona virus positive case.”
This has certainly set great exemplary encouragement to our community that there is hope as we continue fighting against the pandemic, the release added.
