
Mokokchung, October 31 (MExN): As per the directive of the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, the Lead Bank Office, Mokokchung District organized one day ‘Credit Outreach Camp’ on October 29 at MMC Shopping Complex, Mokokchung.
The programme was inaugurated by Limawapang Jamir, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung. 10 banks participated in the programme.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a short speech and handed over sanctioned letters to the beneficiaries. The Deputy Commissioner in his speech said that COVID-19 pandemic has affected lives immensely in many ways but the most affected is the economy. He encouraged the bankers to lend more in priority sectors in order to uplift the economy. He also advised the borrowers to repay loans in time.
According to Lead District Manager, Lanuteka lmchen, 111 sanctioned letters amounting to Rs 6.05 crores were handed over by the Deputy Commissioner to the beneciaries of all banks.
