Dimapur, September 9 (MExN): Randeep Datta, PMG, Inspector General of Police, CRPF, Manipur & Nagaland Sector along with DIG (Operations), CRPF, Kohima during the visit to 173 Bn CRPF Headquarter, Dimapur reviewed the development works on the full-fledged CRPF unit headquarter in Chümoukedima which is to be “established shortly.”

A press release from 173 BN CRPF stated that the unit will be established on an area measuring 50.15 acres which was purchased in 2010 for establishment of an unattached Battalion of CRPF.

It stated that MHA has approved for construction of staff quarters, administrative blocks, hospitals, quarter guard, playground, men’s club in the said project for Battalion camping site and initial survey and preliminary estimates have already been done for constructions of boundary walls. Further, layout plan of staff quarters, administration blocks etc is already in the process.  

“With this development happening in near future, it is assured that there will be a huge impact to the people especially in terms of economy and developmental activities in Chümoukedima area in particular and Dimapur district in general,” the 173 BN CRPF added.
