CSSD seeks rejoinder

Dimapur, January 23 (MExN): The Consumer Society Dimapur District (CSDD) has sought rejoinder from the owners or their authorised representatives under the knowledge of the competent authority, approved Fair Price Shops (2010-11) in Dimapur district at the earliest convenient time, from the date of publication.
In a press note issued by its general secretary Khekivi Z Wotsa and press secretary Pradip Sethi stated that why the CSDD in the interest of protection of deserving consumers right, should be stopped from going to respected chairman, District Consumer Protection Council for recommendation to cancel the license of the Fair Price Shops (erring) and prevent the dame FPS for applying extension or continuation in the upcoming period 2011-12 in violation of government orders, PDS Control Order, even after awareness from the CSDD under the public distribution system (TPDS) which have badly affected the consumers as per district allocation sanctioned by the government  for the period 2010-11.
The society in the note also stated: “Why the CSDD should be stopped again from approaching next step to the District Consumers Forum on the basis of written representation received from the consumers as well as social audit conducted by the CSDD itself under “Right to Food” to file complaint against the erring FPS, if found guilty for initiating prosecution under the Provision
of Law?”
