Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The Chakhesang Students Union Dimapur (CSUD) organised a programme for installation of a new team of office bearers and felicitation of students on September 10.

A team of fourteen office bearers were inducted to head the office of CSUD for tenure of two years (2022-2024) under the presidentship of George Krome.  

According to a press release on Sunday, three students namely, Eriteü Khape;  Riku Khape and Anune Dawhuo, were awarded certificates of excellence for their achievements in the field of academy and sports. 

The release stated that guest speaker for the event Zasekhoyi Ringa, General Secretary of Western Chakhesang Hoho, addressed many critical issues including unemployment in Nagaland and said that if one is really educated, they cannot be unemployed. He also said that one should first try to identify one’s own talent and capabilities before choosing his or her career.  

President of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) Moayanger Jamir also addressed the gathering and encouraged the young people not to problems become their ‘captain’ but rather he or she should captain their problems. Nuvoto Lohe, President Western Chakhesang Students Union (WCSU), acknowledge the CSUD for always being the backbone of WCSU, the release stated.

The oath taking was ministered by  Khemvu Mekru which was followed by prayer for the new office bearers from Dr Timothy Lasuh, Youth Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church Dimapur.
