The protest spearheaded by the Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) and the Nagaland Net Qualified Forum (NNQF) entered its second day on Thursday.

Undeterred by the rain and lack of concrete response from the State Government, the demonstration continued outside the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) till 7:00 pm, awaiting a positive response to their demand for the revocation of the December 17, 2024 Government order.

During a brief interaction with the protestors, officials from the DHE stated that the demand letter had been forwarded to higher authorities, emphasising that the final decision rests with the Government.

Kaqheto Kughulu, a member of CTAN, expressed disappointment over the inaction so far. “Our protest was very peaceful yesterday and today, but it will be intensified on Monday,” he said, reaffirming the group’s determination to continue their agitation until their demands are addressed.

While several uniformed personnel were stationed at the site to maintain law and order, no untoward incidents were reported, and the atmosphere remained calm.

The protest is expected to intensify next Monday as the groups remain resolute in their call for justice.
