CTC kicks off yearlong 50th Anniversary celebration

Mokokchung, August 12 (MExN): The launching of the yearlong celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Clark Theological College (CTC) was held at its Multi-purpose Hall during the 49th Foundation Day of the college on August 10. 

The college will be celebrating its Anniversary on November 10, 2022 and to acknowledge God’s Leading Hand and supports received from individuals, families, churches and organizations throughout its existence, the several programmes have  been prayerfully outlined throughout the year,  informed communique from CTC.

These include CTC 50th Anniversary Public Lecture Series, Publication Series, Seminars and Consultations, meeting and fellowship with Founding Members, Life members, Patrons, Alumni, Churches and Associations in different district headquarters, it said. 

Prof Rev Dr Mar Pongener, the Executive Secretary of the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang, dedicated and formally launched the yearlong celebration.

The communiqe further said that the CTC 50th Anniversary Publication Series-1 titled ‘Holistic Engagement to Transform’  was also released by Dr Sunep Imchen, Chairman, CTC Board of Governors. 

Edited by Dr K Dhanbir Rai, Associate Professors of Religions and Dr Tsuknungrenla, Associate Professors of Pastoral Counselling at CTC, the first series contains 12 articles contributed by MTh scholars- graduates of 2020-2021, it said. 

Harvesting for Giving Scholarship was also launched by the CTC Principal Rev Dr A Temjen Jamir with an appeal to churches, organizations, alumni, individuals and families, added the communiqe issued by Prof  Imsutoshi Jamir, the Convener of the CTC 50th Anniversary Planning Committee.

In form of an invitation, the appeal read,” “If YOU have two children, consider the poor and needy students at Clark as your third Child; If YOUR Church has One Mission Field, consider the poor and needy students at Clark as your Second Mission Field; If YOUR Church has ten Ministerial Projects and Activities in a year, consider the Poor and Needy students at Clark as your Eleventh yearly Ministerial Project and Activity of the Church”.
