Dimapur, July 15 (MExN): The Chumukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO) has warned against organizing protests in an around Chumukedima Town without proper permission from all the apex bodies of Chumukedima.
Pointing to the July 14 protest in Chumukedima Town wherein the legislators returning from Kaziranga were met with jeers and placards like "Stop playing desperate games", the CTYO in a clarification claimed that neither the public nor any of the organisations of Chumukedima were part of the protest.
Stating that the issue is not about supporting or being against any political party, the CTYO insisted that it was about “respect for traditional authority and misuse of the name of Chumukedima”.
“Anybody organising such things in the future without proper per-mission and concern from all the Apex bodies of Chumukedima shall be taken as a direct insult to the peace loving people of Chumukedima,” the CTYO cautioned. “Anybody doing so shall be doing it at their own risk,” it added.
