Dimapur, February 26 (MExN): Kacharigaon (Phevima), Dimapur celebrated Sekrenyi, a premier festival of Angami community, on February 25 at Kacharigaon Phevima Panchayat ground with fervour and gaiety. The festival, organised by Kacharigaon Phevima Youth Organisation, was marked by cultural presentations by womenfolk and youths. Traditional games such as climbing of greased bamboo pole, fire making etc. were other highlights of the programme, stated a press release received here. The celebration also witnessed the rich traditional attire of Angamis. Village council members, women organisation, youths and children of the village participated in the celebration.
