TUENSANG, March 2 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPc in Tuensang town. A notice from the Tuensang DC said that there is a likelihood of causing breach of peace and disturbance to the public tranquility and grave danger to human lives and properties in and around Tuensang Town.
The order imposed curfew, prohibiting any unlawful assembly of people and carrying of arms/weapons with immediate effect till 6:00 am of March 3 in and around the jurisdiction of Tuensang town.
The order does not apply to government agencies involved in the enforcement of law and order and other essential services. In case of emergencies and for persons who want to take part in funerals etc within the scheduled area may apply to the DC or the SP for permission and their movement will be restricted until the written permission is obtained by them.
